Terms & Conditions

This Kowari Terms of Service ("Agreement") is entered into by and between Kowari ("Kowari", "we", "us", "our") and the entity or person accessing or using the Services ("User"). This Agreement consists of the terms and conditions set forth below. The "Effective Date" of this Agreement is the date on which you first access the Services through any online provisioning, registration, or waitlist sign-up process. Kowari may modify this Agreement from time to time, and we will notify you of any material changes.

Capitalised terms shall have the meanings set forth in Section 1, or in the section where they are first used.

1. Definitions

1.1 "Authorised Devices" means those mobile, desktop, or other devices through which the Services can be accessed and used.

1.2 "Content" means project documents, research notes, ideas, citations, datasets, and any other materials created or uploaded by Users within the Services.

1.3 "Documentation" means the technical and user-facing materials made available by Kowari to Users describing the use and operation of the Services.

1.4 "Services" means Kowari's AI-powered capstone platform, including idea generation, automated research, document creation, team collaboration tools, and all related integrations and features.

1.5 "Integrations" means third-party research databases and data sources connected to the Services, including Semantic Scholar, arXiv, CORE, Kaggle, World Bank, and IMF.

1.6 "User" means a student, educator, or other individual who has registered for or been granted access to the Services.

1.7 "Team" means a group of Users who share a collaborative workspace within the Services for the purpose of completing a joint capstone project.

1.8 "Beta" means the pre-launch phase during which Kowari makes the Services available to a limited set of Users for testing and feedback purposes.

2. Licence and Use Rights

2.1 Services Kowari hereby grants User a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence during the Term to: (a) access and use the Services on Authorised Devices solely for the User's academic capstone project work in accordance with the Documentation; and (b) use Kowari's AI tools, research integrations, and document creation features within the scope of the selected plan.

2.2 Provisioning the Services Kowari will provide Users with the necessary credentials and access protocols to use the Services as described herein. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activity that occurs under their account. Team administrators are responsible for managing access for their team members and ensuring compliance with this Agreement by all team members.
